The death benefit of either a Fabric Instant or Fabric Premium policy is paid when an insured has died, as long as the cause of death was covered by the policy. For example, Fabric Instant is an accidental death policy and covers death by an accident such as a car crash. Fabric Premium is a term life insurance policy that covers death from accidents and from illness.

In order for benefits to be paid, a claim must be filed and proof of loss must be provided. Proof of loss includes, but is not limited to, a copy of the final death certificate.
