The contestability period is a period of time, starting as soon as the policy goes into effect, during which the insurer has the right to delay payment while the claim is being investigated. For Fabric policies, the contestability period is two years long. 

If Vantis finds any evidence of misrepresentation during the investigation (i.e. if the insured were to lie on their application), the claim can be disputed or even denied.
