Can I update my will?

Here’s how often you should update your will, why—and how to do it with Fabric wills.

Absolutely! In fact, we suggest you take a look at your will every year or so to make sure that all your choices still make sense.

We also recommend you review your will when you undergo significant life changes, such as births or adoptions, marriages or divorces, children becoming adults, major purchases like real estate and more.

When logged in to your account, if you visit your home page and scroll to the wills card, above the purple "Download Will" button, you'll see "Update Kit". When you select this, you should be able to edit the information you've included in your will. A new will document will be generated after you click the “Looks good!” button at the bottom of the page.

Note that if you make changes to your will, you’ll need to again go through the steps we outline to make this newer version legally binding.
