Can I change my term length?

You may be able to change your term length within the first 30 days of purchasing your policy. After 30 days, term length changes are not available.

Can I add an accidental death rider?

You may be able to add an accidental death rider within the first 30 days of purchasing your term life insurance policy, if the rider is available in your state and you did not already add it at purchase.

The accidental death rider provides an additional benefit if the insured dies as the result of a qualifying accident. It is optional and is separate from the base term life insurance coverage.

The accidental death rider is not available after the first 30 days.

What is the difference between term life insurance and the accidental death rider?

Term life insurance pays a benefit to your beneficiaries if the insured person passes away while the policy is active, subject to the terms of the policy.

An accidental death rider provides an additional benefit if the insured person dies due to a qualifying accident.

Your term life insurance policy already includes coverage for accidental death, subject to the policy terms. The accidental death rider provides extra coverage for qualifying accidental deaths.
