Riders are additional benefits that may provide extra flexibility or coverage on top of a base insurance policy.

Fabric by Gerber Life term life insurance policies include an accelerated death benefit rider for terminal illness. An optional accidental death rider may also be available during or shortly after purchase, depending on state availability.

Accelerated death benefit rider

The term life insurance policy Fabric by Gerber Life offers includes an accelerated death benefit rider for terminal illness.

This means that if the insured becomes terminally ill, with 12 or fewer months to live, they may be able to access a portion of the policy benefit while still living.¹

This rider is not optional and is built into the cost of the policy, so there is no additional fee to include it.

Accidental death rider

An accidental death rider may be available as an optional add-on to a Fabric by Gerber Life term life insurance policy.

This rider provides an additional benefit if the insured dies as the result of a qualifying accident. It is meant to supplement, not replace, term life insurance coverage.

The accidental death rider can only be added at purchase or within the first 30 days after purchasing a term life insurance policy. It may not be available in all states.

No medical exam is required for the accidental death rider, and there are no additional health questions.
